Big Ol' Pig

Blending elements of Rock, Funk, Folk and Fusion into a Big Ol' Colorado Jam Band experience that's meatier and greasier than thick cut bacon. Sizzling, sauce-lathered songwriting coupled with a mix of pan-fried and pressure-cooked improvisations will leave the familiar taste of pulled pork in the mouth of any listener with a fresh, pickle-tinged twist.

Drum grooves that'll leave you with a feeling that is equal parts ecstasy and befuddlement, basslines that'll upset your stomach like you thought only the best Kansas City BBQ could, guitar solos that'll make your mouth water and your ears bleed,  synth solos that'll split your mind in half with no hope of reassembly, all in one Big Ol' package.

Ben Maillaro

Guitar, Vocals

Raised in Denver, Colorado, Ben began playing guitar at the age of ten and started his first band with Big  Ol' drummer, Nate Tharp, at fourteen, where he quickly developed a taste for excessive pedal use. His biggest musical influences include Pink Floyd, Radiohead and Watchhouse. Though he  jumped  ship a mere three years shy of  earning his English Literature degree, much of his lyricism is influenced by the work of southern gothic novelists such as William Faulkner and Cormac McCarthy.
